Run on 8 August 1908 for 190 sovs; second horse 28 sovs and third horse 19 sovs from the stake. One mile and a half.

Mr W Kerr's blk h Wildwood Jun, 5yrs, 9sec (Owner) 2.

Mr J Carleton's b m Miss Burlington, 6yrs, 4sec (A Wilson) 3.

Lord Elmo scr, Elector 2sec, Vanish 8sec, OYM 4sec, Albertorius 4sec, Sir Hector 5sec, Factory Boy 6sec, Withington 6sec, Derringcote 7sec, Fusee 7sec, Alice Wood 8sec, Wild Arab 9sec, Belroy 9sec, Sonbrino 9sec and Prince Warbeck 10sec also started.

Prince Alert drew out at the start, followed by Wild Arab and Wildwood Jun. There was no change half a lap from home, when Wildwood Jun ran up to Prince Alert, but the latter came away again entering the back stretch, and won by four lengths. Miss Burlington was fifty yards away, with Factory Boy and Lord Elmo next. Time - 3min 38 3/5sec.
